Filmmaking & Editing Beginner Course Bundle

Consists of two video courses:

learn Filmmaking Easily

Do you already take photos but would like to start filming? Then this course is just right for you!

I have been photographing for over 10 years now and have been making videos for almost 8 years. Especially in the last 5 years I have been focusing intensively on videography and have produced over 1000 videos. Most people only know me in front of the camera, but I am also very active behind the camera, be it in directing or as a cameraman.

I would like to pass on my knowledge from the last few years to you. The good news is that the technology is getting easier and easier and the cameras are getting cheaper and cheaper. You don't need any special equipment for the easy filming course for beginners, apart from a normal DSLR or mirrorless camera with interchangeable lenses and, ideally, a tripod. I will show you how we film, but also low budget alternatives.

What equipment do you need for filming?

Shooting videos yourself doesn't have to be difficult

The course is structured to give you a solid foundation of knowledge about filming and video. At the beginning, Benjamin Jaworskyj simply explains the complicated technical terms and abbreviations that you need to understand the technology and use it consciously. Ben will show you how to focus manually and choose the right settings such as aperture, shutter speed and ISO.

Afterwards, we'll go outside and do practical exercises to film accompanying material - the so-called B-roll material. This involves not only taking handheld and tripod shots, but also moving shots that are visually stunning. Ben shows you various low budget solutions and our favourite method.

The last lessons in the Easy Filming course focus on the topic of ‘Interview’. Lighting and sound are particularly important here. If one of the two is not optimal, your camera or lens can be great - your video will look ‘cheap’. Ben shows you how you can prevent this.

Video editing for beginners

Do you already take photos but would like to start filming? Then this course is just right for you!

Have you already tried out the film mode on your camera and now want to edit all the footage into a video?

Filming videos and editing videos go hand in hand. I have already edited videos with many programs. From iMovie to Final Cut Pro X and Adobe Premiere Pro CC. We currently only edit with the latter, because you can do so many things in this program.

How do you shorten clips?

Advantages and disadvantages of Adobe Premiere Pro

Pro

  • Available for Windows and Mac
  • Everything you'll ever need for editing, you can do with this program (and add other Adobe programs like After Effects or Audition)
  • You can use it as a team
  • Color grading is as easy as in Lightroom and you can use layers like in Photoshop

Contra

  • It is very overwhelming for beginners and all the boxes and controls are confusing and complicated

How do I add overlays, e.g. fonts?

But it's actually not that difficult once you sit down and work with it step by step. That's exactly what we do in this video course. We'll start at the very beginning of the program and leave out all the unnecessary gimmicks.

The first video is a short travel video, filmed handheld and shaky. We can still make a lot out of the few scenes. We stabilize the material, look for suitable music that we can use and cut the scenes to the music. Benjamin Jaworskyj shows you what he pays attention to and how you can edit your own cool travel video quickly and easily.

In the second part, we will edit the interview situation that we recorded in its entirety in the Learn Filmmaking course for beginners. We mix 4K footage with HD scenes and arrange voice and music.

After this Learn Video Editing video course, you will understand the program much better and hopefully enjoy editing videos.
