The #jaworskyj 0.9 Hard GND graduated filter ensures a very dark sky despite its low tint of only 0.9 (comparable to 8x ND filter ) and can also compensate for large dynamic differences. It is stronger than the #jaworskyj 1.2 Soft GND because, in contrast to the latter, the #jaworskyj 0.9 Hard GND graduated filter has a hard gradient. In practice, this means that the full darkening in the sky occurs immediately and cannot be varied smoothly.
The 0.9 Hard GND graduated filter does not forgive any errors in alignment and you can immediately see in the image whether the camera is straight or crooked. The darkening is very clearly visible to the naked eye and without editing and is therefore also ideal for film recordings.
Every landscape photographer should have this filter in their repertoire. It is the perfect complement to the soft gradient of the #jaworskyj 1.2 Soft GND filter and is particularly suitable for backlit shots and spectacular photos by the sea.
